Presidential Memorial Certificates: A Presidential Memorial Certificate (PMC) is a gold-embossed paper certificate bearing the official signature of the President of the United States. It honors the memory of a deceased Veteran and expresses the country's grateful recognition of his or her service in the Armed Forces.


Headstones, Markers and Medallions for Placement in Private Cemeteries: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible Veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. If the Veteran served on or after April 6, 1917, and the grave is marked with a private headstone or marker, the Veteran may be eligible for a VA furnished marker or medallion.

It is better to go to a local veterans rep or find a social worker that specializes in VA benefits to help you and your grandpa find all the help needed. Here are ways to contact them:


1) Go to your local veteran rep from your town ….. just put veteran’ services and the name of you town and state where you live. This will direct you to your town resources and there you will find the name of a veteran’s agent and a phone to call. The Veteran's Services serves the needs of veterans and their dependents that qualify for Chapter 115 (Welfare for Veterans). This includes assistance in preparation of claims for compensation and pension, medical care and fuel assistance. If they cannot help … ask them where can you go to get help!
